Commercial and Architectural Leadwork

As a widely-respected craftsman, a CIPHE-registered plumber and a member of the Lead Contractors Association, Brian is ideally skilled, qualified and experienced to collaborate on your next Commercial Leadwork Project.

Past commissions have included complex ornamental roofing, and heritage restoration work as well as commemorative decorative installations and plaques for new-build sites.

Decorative Guttering Project

This project incorporated design and installation of a bespoke gutter and lead downpipe from a small lead roof, with a corner pipe discharging to a lower roof.

The design of the ornamental details of the sockets was based on the motif of an existing hopper leading from the tower.

Historic Window Restoration

...a real challenge!

For this major work, the lead had to be removed and repaired and new fixings, laps and welts created with capillary gaps where none had previously existed.

The original installation had been fitted together on the horizontal, with all vertical and horizontal parts burned together, then lifted into position and built around.

Complex Downpipe Commission

This was an extremely complex downpipe installation, created to follow the detailed contour of the ornamental brickwork around an entrance.

Special precautions were taken to guard against potential blockage. The result is a feature which complements - rather than conflicts with - the architecture.
